Needless to say what could have happened if this driver wasn’t so lucky.

IMG00089Don’t depend on luck:

  • Make sure you know your truck’s cargo capacity.
  • Make  sure you know the weight of your load.
  • Don’t assume.

If your truck is rated 26,000- GVWR then your truck should not weigh more than 26,000 lbs. fully loaded with product, fuel tanks full and driver.

You’re the driver.  You are the fail/safe to prevent an overloaded truck from increasing gruesome, accident statistics.  Work with your carrier to do the right thing.

If the driver does his pre-inspection and loading properly he and the people he shares the road with will be able to enjoy the drive.
